This system, whose patent is pending, allows rescue personnel to remove the cheek pads from the helmet while it is worn by the motorcyclist, simply by pulling the red ribbons positioned in the front area of the pads themselves.
X-803 ULTRA CARBON has passed, at the Newton Srl laboratory, the tests relating to the rotational impacts to which the racing helmets used, among others, in MotoGP and SBK races are subjected. Newton Srl is an independent test laboratory, recognized as suitable by the Italian Ministry of Transport for the purposes of homologation of helmets and visors, in accordance with the ECE/ONU 22-05 standard.
Compared to its predecessor (model X-802RR), X-803RS has been improved in terms of lateral visibility and roominess in the chin area. Consequently, it is able to offer greater static and dynamic comfort and an increase in active safety.
SIZES, CAPS AND CIRCUMFERENCES
Device that allows the visor lock function (to prevent accidental opening at high speeds) or demisting of the visor at low speeds or when stopped (by opening it to a minimum).
The patented adjustment system allows you to adjust the draft of the Pinlock®, acting from the outside of the visor, without having to disassemble it. The silicone profile allows, firstly, to increase the air gap between the outside and inside, thus further reducing the risk of fogging and, secondly, to reduce the risk of scratching the visor.
The result of long experiences and tests in the wind tunnel and on the track, it consists of:
- upper air intakes with diffused intake;
- front air intake with direct entry;
- high-flow chin guard air intake, with demisting function;
- front protection with integrated aerodynamic exhaust;
- side extractors for air discharge;
- rear extractor, integrated in an aerodynamic spoiler with variable profile (ASD - Adjustable Stability Device).
Compared to its predecessor (model X-802RR), X-803 has been improved in terms of stability at high speeds, also thanks to the complete revision of the rear spoiler. Confirmed the adjustable profile of the spoiler aimed at adapting the aerodynamic range of the helmet in relation to the different positions and driving styles.
The internal comfort padding is made with active carbon filaments, a thermoregulatory, antistatic and dissipative element. The cap, with an innovative mesh construction, facilitates the diffusion of air in the upper part of the head which, in this way, remains cool and dry. The internal padding also consists of side cheek pads (right and left) and lining strips, all completely removable and washable.
The internal foam padding of the cheek pads is designed to offer homogeneity of pressures and constant performance over time compared to those offered by traditional padding. They can also be removed from their respective fabric covers to facilitate washing of the latter.
Clearly inspired by the rain goggles used in racing, it is an effective accessory, as it limits fogging.
